Areas of Giving

There are many ways we can partner with you to insure that Santiago Canyon College continues to provide an innovative and challenging academic experience for our students. Read below for more information or click the button to donate now.

Hawks Fund

Donate to the greatest needs of the college and help us change students’ lives! The Hawks Fund provides unrestricted, financial support for a variety of unfunded faculty program requests that could include student conference support, student enrichment programs and services and other areas that are important to providing an innovative educational environment and attracting talented faculty and students. Brick-by-Brick

Would you like to honor an SCC graduate, a favorite faculty member or a departed loved one? You can do that by purchasing a brick that we will inscribe and install in the walkway near Strenger Plaza. All net proceeds from the sale of the brick go to the Hawks Fund.  Click here to access the order form.

Scholarships

Through its foundation, Santiago Canyon College was able to provide about $252,500 in private scholarships to students in 2019-2020. Scholarship areas include general academic excellence, art, athletics, STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and scholarships for veterans and emancipated foster youth, to name a few.  Click here to find out more about donating to scholarships.

Hawk’s Nest Basic Needs Center

The relationship between food insecurity and student success is well documented. Students who are chronically hungry or financially stressed are at much higher risk of dropping out of college before they complete their academic goals. Support the Hawk’s Nest Food Pantry and you help provide food insecure students with nutritious food that will keep them focused on their classes, rather than on how they will obtain their next meal. To make a financial donation, click here. To donate food or sundries, please call (714) 628-4790.

Soldiers to Scholars Fund

The Soldiers to Scholars Fund supports SCC’s Veterans Resource Center (VRC), which was established in 2011 to assist our veteran, reservists and active duty students and their eligible family members navigate college life. With program support, veterans can identify and access an array of benefits that help them succeed in meeting their civilian educational and professional goals.  Money from the Soldiers to Scholars Fund supports scholarships, book vouchers, loans, and much-needed office supplies and equipment for the Veteran’s Study Center located in the Veterans Resource Center. Unfunded Academic and Program Needs

Santiago Canyon College has many academic and student support program and resource needs that are not met through state funding.  Science labs need to update equipment.  The library needs books and online research subscriptions. The performing arts program needs musical instruments and sound and stage equipment. If you have a special area of interest, whether it's the sciences, the visual arts, performing arts, humanities, athletics, or some other academic or program area on campus, we invite you to make a donation online to an area of your choice or call 714-628-4790 or email foundation@sccollege.edu to explore making a gift to a more specific area of interest to you.

If you have questions about any of these areas of giving, want to learn about other areas of need or wish to explore your own ideas for a partnership, call 714-628-4790 or email foundation@sccollege.edu.
